On Thursday, Tinubu, the president of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, congratulated the squad on his official Twitter account.
He inspired the group to go on their impressive run, ultimately bringing honor to the country.
"I congratulate our marvellous Flying Eagles for that sound 2-0 defeat of the host team, Argentina, to secure a quarter final slot at the U-20 World Cup.
