“As East Africa, we shall host AFCON 2027 and this is your best opportunity to start knocking at the door of the Senior National Team.”
If Uganda is to have a strong showing at the 2027 Africa Cup Nations, which will be hosted in East Africa, the journey to building a stout team should kickstart with the under-age teams.
The Uganda U20 team will use the forthcoming All-Africa games to jumpstart the preparations for the continental event which will be played in Uganda, Kenya and Tanzania.
FUFA President Moses Magogo has called on the Uganda Hippos (U20) to put up formidable performances which will attract summons to the senior team.
“Across the World, at your age, players are carrying teams. So you must know that our future is actually you," Magogo was quoted by FUFA media.
"Go to Ghana and fight and give the coaches of the Senior National Teams a reason to summon you.”
