Inter Milan forward Romelu Lukaku has opened up on his mega transfer to Chelsea after having a poor first season at Stamford Bridge.
A year after the Blues spent more than €100m to gain his services from the Serie A side, the Belgian returned to Inter Milan on loan last summer.

Inter Milan sends message to Manchester City with Coppa Italia triumph
Inter Milan defeated Fiorentina 2-1 in the final of the Coppa Italia to secure the trophy for the second time in a row.
The striker was a key player in the Nerazzurri's title-winning campaign in 2020/21, tallying 30 goals and 10 assists in 44 appearances.
He was unable to repeat the same form at Chelsea after making a big money move as he struggled with only eight goals in 26 appearances.
Lukaku speaks on his backup plan
The 30-year-old has since claimed that when he decided to sign with the Blues in 2022, he already had a backup plan.

Arsenal legend Paul Merson has urged the club to make a move for Belgian forward Romelu Lukaku to provide adequate competition for the misfiring Gabriel Jesus next season.
Speaking to Het Laatste Nieuws, Lukaku said, “I was good at Chelsea last season but I knew then that if it didn’t work out at Chelsea, I still had Inter.
“When I signed again, I knew: I belong here. I had that too at Anderlecht. I take this club seriously. I want to do my best. The people here see that. Being encouraged here is the best thing there is.”
Lukaku wins Coppa Italia with Inter
In the Coppa Italia final, Inter Milan defeated Fiorentina 2-1 to win the title for the second consecutive year.
Nicolas Gonzalez gave Fiorentina the lead fairly early in the first half, but Inter fought back with two goals from Lautaro Martinez to take the lead. Martinez's goals were enough to give Inter the trophy.

With the season coming to an end, Lukaku must rejoin the Premier League team Chelsea but It is unclear if the Blues will use him in their plans for the upcoming campaign.
