Slovenia will take on Greece in the semi-final qualification round for Olympic basketball.

Luka Doncic led Slovenia to a resounding 104-78 victory over New Zealand on Thursday, securing a semifinal spot in the Olympic qualifying tournament in Piraeus, Greece.

Doncic tallied 36 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists, helping Slovenia achieve the necessary margin of victory (at least 10 points) to advance.

Slovenia will face Greece on Saturday, with Doncic going head-to-head against Giannis Antetokounmpo. The winner will progress to the final on Sunday, earning a berth in the Paris Olympics, while the loser will be eliminated.

In the other quarterfinal match, Greece defeated Egypt 93-71, with Konstantinos Mitoglou and Georgios Papagiannis scoring 16 points each, and Kostas Popanikolaou adding 15. Antetokounmpo was rested for the game, but Greece still secured their place in the semifinals.

Meanwhile, Doncic will welcome new teammate Klay Thompson, who has arrived via trade from the Golden State Warriors.
