Lorient have turned down another bid for Moffi despite the forward desperate for a move away
Lorient remain defiant in holding on to their Nigerian ace, Terem Moffi until their valuation of the player is met and have rejected another bid from Nice for the player.
Nice desperate to land Moffi
Nice’s last offer for Moffi is a great improvement on their opening bid of €18 million and could reach up to €23 million, but still falls short of Lorient’s valuation of Moffi which stands at €30m.
Reports in France suggest that Moffi already has a deal in principle to join Nice if they can agree on a fee with Lorient, so both parties are hopeful that they can get the deal over the line before the January transfer window closes.

Lorient accepted an offer from Marseille for Moffi, which included Senegalese forward Bamba Dieng going the other way, but Moffi, insistent on joining Nice, turned down Marseille’s offer.
Moffi is currently one of the most sought-after strikers in Europe after a brilliant season with Lorient which has seen him score 12 goals in Ligue 1.
Moffi still likely to move this window
The 23-year-old forward has been one of Lorient’s best players in the 2022/23 campaign and has garnered interest from Nice, Marseille, West Ham, and Southampton in the January transfer window, a testament to how well he has performed.
Nice is expected to return a sixth time for Moffi with the belief that they will finally be able to secure his signature from Lorient before the end of the month.
Moffi has also missed Lorient’s last two matches against Bastia in the Coupe de France and Rennes in Ligue 1, raising hopes that a move is indeed on the cards.
