Ademola Lookman's Atalanta have switched attention to Barcelona after seeing off Como in the Serie A.

Ademola Lookman's Atalanta are gearing up for a historic UEFA Champions League clash against Barcelona following a much-needed victory over Como in Serie A.

After struggling with a winless streak that extended to three matches, Atalanta's 2-1 comeback against Como has reignited their season and shifted focus toward the upcoming European challenge.

Atalanta faced a tough first half against Como, conceding the opening goal to Real Madrid’s academy graduate Nico Paz. However, the team regrouped during halftime and emerged with renewed vigour.

Mateo Retegui equalised in the 56th minute and later scored the winning goal, ensuring Atalanta's return to form and putting pressure on league leaders Napoli.

With this victory behind them, Atalanta's manager Gian Piero Gasperini expressed optimism about their next challenge.

He noted that the team had two days to prepare and recharge to face LaLiga giants Barcelona, a side they had never encountered before.

Atalanta returned to winning ways at Como.

“We have to recharge our batteries, but the motivation to play against Barcelona won’t be hard to come by,” Gasperini told the club on Youtube.

“They are an amazing team, one we never had the chance to meet before; possibly one of the few or even the major European side we haven’t played against in recent years."
