The attacker has announced his next move following the conclusion of the 2023-24 season.

Winger Jaffari Owiti has left AFC Leopards following six years at the club.

Owiti announced his departure from the club following the end of his deal with Ingwe, who finished fifth in the 2023-24 season.

The winger had a mixed season when he scored just one goal but remarkably, was the player who played the highest number of matches for Leopards last season, after featuring in 36 games.

“After six incredible years with this amazing team, the time has come for me to say goodbye and embark on a new journey,” Owiti said in his farewell message posted on Facebook.

“Each one of you has played a significant role in making my time here truly special. Every new beginning comes from some other beginnings end.”

Owiti was one of the longest serving players at Leopards after singing in 2017 from the now defunct Chemelil Sugar.

He extended his deal in 2021 and was a key player when the club was slapped with a transfer ban.

Owiti’s departure signals Leopards’ intention to strengthen in key areas especially attack where they failed to sparkle last season with midfielder Victor Omune the highest scorer with eight goals.
