Both sides had to share the spoils which frustrated Odera at full time as ‘they came for the win’.

Muhoroni Youth head coach Charles Odera is disappointed to only get a draw against AFC Leopards as his charges were frustrated to a 0-0 draw by a toothless Ingwe side on Saturday.

Muhoroni were the superior side in the first half, creating a couple of chances they did not utilize, and also had three penalty appeals denied.

In the second half, they resorted to taking freekicks which gave Leopards a ton of problems, but in the end, both sides had to share the spoils, something that frustrated Odera at full time as ‘they came for the win’.

“We should have taken our chances like we had agreed before the match. We came here for a win but did not take those chances, so it is an issue we have that we need to work hard to rectify,” Odera said after the match.

The former APS Bomet coach however looked on the bright side of the situation, saying that tactically, they approached the game how he wished prior to kick off.

“It was good. We approached it well tactically. We were planning to attack from the word go and they also did what we expected them to do.”

“It was good because we are a good side. They have had their issues and we have also had our issues. We got our chances and did not utilize them.”

Muhoroni Youth have now gotten three points from three matches after drawing in each of their first three league matches, having drawn against City Stars and Nzoia Sugar in their first two matches of the season as well.

They currently sit 10th in the division and will now face bruised Tusker away at the Ruaraka Grounds next week.
