Liverpool right back Trent Alexander-Arnold has survived a shocking ordeal as a 40 foot-long pylon crashed onto a car right in front of his range rover as he was driving on a wet rural road near Knutsford, Cheshire.
The 25-year-old had to swerve to avoid the high-voltage power unit and ended up colliding with a BMW X5 in doing so.
It was a near-miss for Alexander-Arnold as the electrical pylon lay scrapped on the road's banking, with the huge infrastructure capable of inflicting serious damage if it had fallen on the footballer's luxury vehicle.
