Ndidi came on as a substitute, and Iheanacho was out due to injury as Leicester suffers defeat to Fulham.

Leicester City sink deeper into the waters of relegation following a defeat at the hands of Fulham. Despite a late hurrah and a flurry of attacks, a four-goal lead proved insurmountable as the Foxes fell 5-3 to Marco Silva's side.

As they attempted to keep up their fight against relegation, Leicester played Fulham at the King Power Stadium, but the task against the Cottagers highlighted Leicester's season-long weaknesses.

How it happened

Similar to their last outing against Everton, Dean Smith's men were a proverbial glass cannon. They were capable of being impressive in front of the opposition's goal but were sponges at the back.

Before they showed their offensive prowess, however, they took a beating, exposing their defensive frailties.

Willian gave the visitors an early 10th-minute lead, and before the 20th-minute mark, Carlos Vinicius doubled the advantage, getting on the end of a Harry Wilson assist.

Tom Cairney further complicated Smith's halftime team talk by making it three just before half-time time, Vinicius turned creator this time.

Cairney doubled his tally in the 51st minute, making it 4-0, before Harvey Barnes pulled one back for the lacklustre hosts.

Fulham were not done scoring, however, as William grabbed his brace in the 70th minute. A late charge saw the Foxes score twice in the final 10 minutes of regulation time, James Maddison from the spot, and Harvey Barnes with his brace, but the visitors had opened a lead too wide for any sort of comeback.
