Fellow Kenyan Peter Odhiambo was an unused sub in the game.

Kenyan international Lawrence Juma clocked 90 minutes as AS Kigali failed to move within a point off log leaders APR following a 2-2 draw against Etincelles in the Rwandan Premier League.

Kigali seem to have their wheels fall off at a crucial point of the season having won only two of their last six games which has witnessed them plummet to fourth on the log.

Despite their recent inconsistencies, Kigali are still three points off table toppers APR with 10 games left till curtains come falling on the 2022-2023 season.

With a chance to move joint-second, AS Kigali started the game like a house on fire and took just 10 minutes to open the scoring through Gibrin Akuki

Etincelles settled into the game after a torrid start as they limited Kigali to few chances and went into the halftime break trailing 1-0.

Kigali had a mirror start to the second half as they doubled their lead two minutes into the closing stanza courtesy of former Gor Mahia forward Jacques Tuyisenge.

Ntwari Fiacre was sent for an early shower in the 55th minute after being handed a straight red card leaving Kigali with a mountain to climb if they were to hold on to their lead.

With the numerical advantage, Etincelles wasted no time in pulling one back through Moro Sumaila, a minute after the hour mark, leaving Kigali’s lead hanging by a thread.

Kigali were crumbling like a house of cards and saw their lead wiped out in the 69th minute when Ibrahim Niyonsenga netted for Enticelles.

The capital side however managed to hold on to the 2-2 draw till the final whistle to claim a point in the encounter that just kept their hopes alive of lifting their maiden title.
