Saudi Arabian side Al-Hilal have made a whopping €1 billion combined offer to both Kylian Mbappe and Paris Saint Germain in a bid to sign the French superstar for a year.
Kylian Mbappe continues to dominate the transfer discourse this summer as a result of the love triangle between the player, his current club Paris Saint Germain and his desired destination, Real Madrid.
The 24-year-old is now the subject of a massive bid from Al-Hilal, adding yet another layer of drama to this transfer saga.
The Saudi Arabian club have reportedly made an official bid worth €300 million to PSG which the club have accepted as they intend to cash in on the superstar before his contract expires next year.
Al-Hilal are also said to be offering Kylian Mbappe a mega €700 million contract for just one year, totalling an astonishing €1 billion package.
Although the player has given no indication on whether or not he plans to accept the offer, here is a complete breakdown of how much Mbappe is set to make in just a year in Saudi Arabia if he accepts the Al-Hilal offer.

UPDATE: PSG accept Al-Hilal's world record ₦264 billion bid for Kylian Mbappe
Al-Hilal have had their proposed bid for Kylian Mbappe accepted by his club PSG
Breakdown of Kylian Mbappe’s potential Al-Hilal contract
Al-Hilal are fully aware of Mbappe’s desire to see out his contract at PSG and then leave to join Real Madrid as a free agent next summer.
And also of PSG’s desire to sell the player now and cash in rather than lose him for free in a year which is what makes Al-Hilal’s offer perfect.
PSG have already accepted the €300 million transfer fee because it makes sense for them now it is up to the player to accept the €700 million offer for just one year and then return to Europe to join his dream club in a year’s time.
If he does accept the offer from Al-Hilal, Mbappe will earn €700 million in a year which amounts to €58.33 million monthly and €13.3 million every week.
If you want to break down the Al-Hilal contract offer any further, Mbappe will earn €1.9 million every day, €79,900 an hour, €1,332 a minute and €22 every second.
Of course, this would be the biggest contract for any athlete in the entire history of sports, not just football.
PSG reportedly accepts record-breaking transfer offer
Mbappe would also be the most expensive football player in history if he agrees to the move as PSG have already accepted the €300 million transfer fee offered by Al-Hilal.
That would surpass the €222 million PSG paid to Barcelona for Neymar in the summer of 2017 which is still currently the most expensive transfer in football history.
Of course, moving to Saudi Arabia at 24 years old is not the priority for Mbappe at the moment and understandably so which is probably why he is hesitating on either accepting or rejecting the offer.
However, from a neutral perspective, it does seem like it makes sense for this deal to happen as it benefits all the parties involved.
Why Mbappe to Al-Hilal makes sense
The potential move to Saudi Arabia makes sense for Mbappe because it solves everyone’s problems.
PSG get to receive a world-record transfer fee for a player they no longer want after leaving Mbappe off their pre-season tour.
The French giants are determined to not lose Mbappe for free next season after the player revealed he would not be extending his contract.
While the player is obviously holding out to join Real Madrid as a free agent next season which has infuriated the French club.
This offer from Al-Hilal helps PSG solve that problem by receiving a record transfer fee, almost double what they paid to sign Mbappe in 2017.
From Mbappe’s perspective as well, he gets to make history as the most expensive and highest-paid sports athlete in the world for a year in Saudi Arabia after which he would be allowed to join his dream club, Real Madrid.
It works for Mbappe because he has nothing to lose here, he was always going to wait till 2024 before joining Real Madrid anyway so the only thing that changes is his plans for the 2023/24 season which has already been scuppered by PSG anyway.
From Al-Hilal’s perspective, they would be paying a ridiculous amount of money for just one year of Kylian Mbappe but it could be worth it in the long run.
Mbappe is arguably the best player in the world right now and him joining Al-Hilal would significantly increase the profile of the Saudi Pro League despite all the top European talent they have already signed so far.
