Kitara will open its campaign on September 15 against SC Villa at the Wankulukuku II stadium.
Plotting to cause an upset in the top-flight league, Kitara boss Deo Kasozi Akiiki noted that they have injected resources to challenge the top teams in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
"We have put in a lot of effort and resources in the team, and we hope the results will be better than they were during our last appearance in the 2020/21 season," Kasozi, the club president, told Kitara media.
"Our fans and partners are excited about the team; therefore, we believe this squad is well-motivated and ready for the Uganda Premier League.”
At the start of the new season, the club signed up to 15 players with Brian Ssenyondo as the head coach.
The new signings include Denis Omedi, Frank ‘Zag'’ Tu'wesigye, Jude Ssemugabi, Solomon Okwalinga, Chris Kusiima, Luwalo Kipper, Kabon Living, Ibrahim Magandaazi, Yasintah Sabir, Hamim Ssemakula, Frank Yiga, Samson Kasozi, Okello Donato, Benjamin Nyakoojo, Brian Aheebwa and Shafiq Magogo.
