Mighty Eagles Academy secures prestigious IberCup invite after impressive showing at Gothia Cup.

Mighty Eagles Academy has received a coveted invitation to represent Kenya at the esteemed 2024 IberCup youth football tournament in Lisbon, Portugal. 

This exciting development comes hot on the heels of their impressive performance at the recent Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden, where they left an indelible mark on the international youth football scene.

The IberCup, renowned as one of the most prestigious youth football tournaments globally, has garnered acclaim for its ability to bring together talented players and teams from a staggering 50 different countries. 

This week-long competition promises not only fierce sporting battles but also unforgettable experiences and unparalleled opportunities. 

What sets the IberCup apart is its history of attracting some of the world's top professional teams, including football giants such as FC Porto, SL Benfica, Sporting Lisbon, FC Zenit, Liverpool, Atletico de Madrid, PSG, Ol. Lyon, Ol. Marseille, Sevilla, and Chivas Guadalajara.

Moses Zewedi, the visionary founder of the Mighty Eagles Academy, shared the exciting news with great enthusiasm.

"We secured the invitation following our strong performance at the Gothia Cup in Gothenburg, Sweden, this year. We are also initiating our preparations early for the Lisbon tournament,” Zewedi told Pulse Sports.

Zewedi's dedication and commitment to nurturing young football talent have been instrumental in the academy's rapid ascent in the footballing world.

The upcoming 2024 IberCup is scheduled to take place from July 2nd to July 7th in the picturesque city of Lisbon, Portugal. It promises to be a thrilling showcase of young footballing prowess and an opportunity for the Mighty Eagles Academy to further establish its presence on the global stage.

Founded in 2019, the Mighty Eagles Academy has been diligently training young football prodigies between the ages of 8 and 20. 

What makes their journey even more remarkable is the diverse background of their players, many of whom hail from the challenging and underprivileged slum areas of Shimo la Tewa, Crossroads, Gatua, Namgoi, Cherangani of Kaplamai, Aruba, Matisi, and various other parts of the entire Trans Nzoia County.
