Talented midfielder Kevin 'Bycy' Mwaura has announced his departure from FKF Premier League side Kenya Police FC after the expiration of his contract. 

The 21-year-old playmaker played a pivotal role in the team's promotion to the top tier during the 2020-21 season, leaving a lasting impression on fans and teammates alike.

Reflecting on his time with Kenya Police, Mwaura expressed his gratitude to the  South C based-side which has been his home for the past three years.

 "Thank you, Kenya Police FC, for the three seasons. It's time for a new challenge, and I trust the magic of beginnings,” he tweeted.

Mwaura's decision to part ways with Kenya Police FC marks the latest development in the ongoing transfer window, where the club has seen the departure of Lesley Otieno, Clifton Miheso, and Derrick Otanga. 

These changes signify a significant transformation in the team's composition as they seek to strengthen their squad for future endeavors.

Unfortunately, the 2022/2023 season proved to be a challenging one for Mwaura, as he battled a persistent knee injury that kept him sidelined for a staggering 18 months. 

However, his determination and resilience shone through when he made a triumphant return to the pitch on May 14 in a match against Sofapaka. 

Despite the setbacks, Mwaura showcased his unwavering passion and dedication to the sport, leaving fans in awe of his abilities.

Before joining Kenya Police, Mwaura honed his skills at Murang'a Seal and went through the ranks of Thika United, establishing a solid foundation for his football career.

His time with Kenya Police  allowed him to flourish and make a name for himself in the Kenyan football scene.
