Kevin De Bruyne speaks on comparisons with Fabregas after reaching 100 Premier League assists faster than the former Arsenal man.
Kevin de Bruyne reached 100 Premier League assists today, and he unavoidably attracted comparisons with Cesc Fabregas and was asked questions in relation to both their assist record which he answered.
De Bruyne created one of the goals in Manchester City's 4-1 thumping of Southampton to put pressure on league leaders Arsenal.
City run riot against Southampton
Just before halftime, Kevin De Bruyne and Haaland teamed up to score Manchester City's opening goal. In the 58th minute of the game, Jack Grealish added a second goal to widen the visitors' lead.
Haaland converted Grealish's cross with a bicycle kick to score his brace and Manchester City's third in a display of outstanding athleticism.
Sekou Mara gave the hosts a point, but Julian Alvarez regained the three-goal lead in the 75th minute from the penalty spot.

The Belgian international was asked how he felt about reaching a hundred Premier League assists in 56 games earlier than former Arsenal and Chelsea midfielder Cesc Fabregas.
