After an outstanding start to the season with Orlando City B, Kenyan defender Nabi Kibunguchy has earned promotion to the club’s senior side who ply their trade in the Major League Soccer (MLS).
Placed in the MLS Eastern Conference, Orlando City are grouped together with Inter Miami who have in their ranks arguably the best player under the sun, Lionel Messi.

Orlando did not however disclose the length of the contract terming it as a “short term deal” after joining the B team back in March this year with his initial contract set to expire in December.

Kibunguchy has appeared in 23 matches, making 22 starts and playing the second-most minutes of the team with 1,944 minutes played for Orlando City B so far this season since joining the club at the beginning of the year.
The defender has scored four goals including a brace in the club’s 2-2 shootout victory over NYCFC II. Kibunguchy has also manned the Lions’ backline helping the club earn three clean sheets in the 2023 campaign.
