The former Tusker FC and AFC Leopards central defender is a top transfer target for head coach George Lwandamina, and Team Ya Ziko are willing to sanction a permanent deal.

Since joining Tanzanian Premier League side Namungo FC in July last year, Oruchum has cemented his position in the backline and has scored important goals that have put the Lindi-based side among top-five finish contenders.
Zesco has been monitoring his performances and wants to buy Oruchum as a replacement for John Chishimba, who is set to leave the club at the end of the season.
According to respected Tanzanian journalist Khalid Chukuchuku, Zesco is willing to spend on the star as they look to bolster their defensive line ahead of the new campaign.
Zesco will have to face competition from other clubs for Oruchum’s signature as many teams in Tanzania, including Singida Big Stars, are also eyeing a move for the highly-rated defender.

Before joining Leopards, Oruchum had previously played for Thika United, where he began his Premier League career right after high school.
If signed, Oruchum will join former AFC Leopards and Wazito FC striker Vincent Oburu who has been with the club since June 2022 and goalkeeper Ian Otieno.
