The FKF Women Premier League side has undergone a rebranding with a powerful new name to reflect their affiliation with Kenya Police FC.

Kenya Police FC has officially announced the new name for the recently acquired FKF Women Premier League side Thika Queens.

The club will now be known as Kenya Police Bullets Football Club, as revealed in a captivating video posted on their social media platforms.

The decision to rename the team comes in the wake of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) outlining the requirements for clubs to acquire a license to participate in the upcoming 2023-24 CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup competitions.

While Kenya Police FC may not be participating in the forthcoming tournament, its strategic move to embrace women's football signals its readiness for the upcoming season.

A statement released today by the Kenya Police FC emphasized Thika Queens' remarkable achievements in women's football, highlighting their consistent delivery of outstanding performances and their role in nurturing young talent.

Notably, some players from Thika Queens, such as Mwanahalima Adam and Esse Akida, have even gone on to play professional football abroad.

The announcement has so far generated excitement and anticipation among fans and the football community at large.

With a rich history in men's football, Kenya Police FC is now ready to make its mark in the women's game and contribute to the growth and recognition of women's football in Kenya.

The stage is set for a new chapter in their illustrious history, where the women's team will play a pivotal role in shaping the club's future and contributing to the overall development of the sport in the country.

It is with noting that since their promotion to FKF Premier League in 2021, Kenya Police has emerged as the biggest spenders, with their investments yielding positive results.

Currently sitting in third place on the league table with an impressive 63 points, just four points behind leader Gor Mahia, Kenya Police Bullets is poised to be a formidable title contender in the near future.
