A Law Enforcers marksman has departed for Tanzania's Singida Big Stars after winning the 2022/2023 FKFPL Golden Boot.

Kenya Police FC has officially announced the departure of their prolific striker, Elvis Rupia, as he embarks on a new journey with Tanzania Premier League giants, Singida Big Stars.

Rupia's move comes as a culmination of his stellar performances that earned him the coveted 2022/2023 Football Kenya Federation Premier League(FKFPL)  Golden Boot, with an astonishing 27 goals to his name.

The 28-year-old striker’s rise to stardom at Police did not go unnoticed, and Singida wasted no time in pursuing the Kenyan goal-scoring sensation.

Last week, Singida had hinted at their interest in acquiring a top Kenyan striker, and today, the deal has been sealed.

The official statement from Kenya Police FC expressed gratitude and warm wishes for the departing star.

"Thank you Elvis Rupia Machapo for the moments we shared. We, the Kenya Police FC, wish you all the best in your future endeavors," the club conveyed on Tuesday night.

Rupia originally joined the law enforcers from Saudi Arabian side Bisha FC, a transfer that turned heads across the Kenyan football landscape.

Interestingly, Bisha had managed to hijack Rupia's move to Kenyan champions Tusker, even going so far as to register him for CAF Champions League matches, only for him to don the Kenya Police jersey.

Rupia's prowess on the field extends to the international stage, as he made his debut for the Harambee Stars in March 2021 during a friendly match against South Sudan.

Prior to his stint at Kenya Police, Rupia showcased his skills in the Zambian Super League with Lusaka Dynamos, where he made a move in July 2018, impressing with his electric performances.

His journey continued with a transition to Wazito in 2019, reflecting his commitment to honing his craft and evolving as a player.

As Elvis Rupia bids adieu to Kenya Police FC, he will find familiar faces waiting for him at Singida Big Stars.

Notably, he will reunite with fellow Kenyan talents, defender Onyango and former Police teammate Abuya, both of whom joined the ambitious Tanzanian side earlier in the season.
