Since making the move to Azam back in July 2021, Muguna has been on the periphery and has been handed limited playing time by the 2016 Tanzanian champions.

The former Gor Mahia captain took to Twitter to announce his departure from Azam, adding that he was delighted to be part of the club during his two-year stint.
“It was a great experience, I enjoyed those 2 years #AdiosAzam,” read a post from the 27-year-old midfielder.
