The Kenya Football Fans Federation have released a statement after Hussein Mohammed won the FKF Presidential Election last Saturday.

The Kenya Football Fans Federation (KEFOFA) has extended warm congratulations to Hussein Mohamed following his election as President of the Football Kenya Federation (FKF).

In a heartfelt message, KEFOFA praised Mohamed’s leadership and vision, expressing optimism for the future of Kenyan football under his stewardship.

In a statement seen by Pulse Sports signed by the federation President Francis Liboyi Omukuba, KEFOFA  hailed Mohamed’s track record, particularly his contributions through Extreme Sports and the Super 8 tournament.

These initiatives, which focus on grassroots talent development and broader promotion of football, have established Mohamed as a transformative figure in Kenyan sports.

“Your victory is a testament to your dedication, vision, and unwavering commitment to the development of football in Kenya,” the statement read. KEFOFA highlighted its confidence that Mohamed’s leadership will bring positive change and elevate FKF to greater heights.

The federation expressed particular enthusiasm for Mohamed’s plans to invest in grassroots infrastructure, restructure the national league, and address critical issues such as hooliganism and match-fixing. These priorities, KEFOFA noted, are vital for the growth of the sport and for inspiring future generations of players and fans.

“As the representative of the 12th player on the pitch, KEFOFA stands ready to support you in any way possible,” Omukuba assured, emphasizing the federation’s commitment to collaborating with FKF to advance Kenyan football.

The congratulatory message concluded with a call for unity and cooperation to enhance the sport's development and a wish for Mohamed’s success in his tenure.

Hussein Mohamed’s election marks a new chapter for FKF, with high expectations from football stakeholders across the country. Fans, through KEFOFA, have reaffirmed their readiness to play an active role in supporting his vision to transform the game in Kenya.
