Having finished second to Vipers in the last two seasons, KCCA will have their eyes on winning in the coming season.
After his official unveiling by the club, KCCA FC head coach Sergio Daniel Moniz Tragil met the different departments of the team before flying back to Portugal.
But if that was his honeymoon, it is now time for serious business as the club looks to arrest the trophy drought at the MTN Omondi Stadium.
The club has not tested silverware since winning the 2019 CECAFA Kagame Cup in Kigali, Rwanda.
Tragil is now expected back in the country this week as the team starts preseason with competitive football edging ever closer.
Tentatively, KCCA is expected back in action between August 18th to 20th in the preliminary round of the CAF Confederation Cup.
In a short video released by the club media team on Tuesday, it was confirmed that preseason for the 13-time league champions would start on Sunday.
“We are R.E.A.D.Y,” the club posted with the hashtag #Preseason and yellow and blue love emojis.
Having finished second to Vipers in the last two seasons, KCCA will have their eyes on winning in the coming season.
But action starts on the continental stage, with eyes on progressing to the group stages of the CAF Confederation Cup.

FOOTBALL UPL spectator attendance, what do the numbers say?
Impressively, Busoga United had the highest average number of attendees for their games (900), and recorded a peak spectator attendance slightly above 2000 spectators at Kakindu Stadium, albeit the team struggling for survival.
Unlike in the previous transfer windows, the Kasasiro Boys have been quiet this time around, with no significant signings added to the squad.
Whether Tragil will require more tools than the ones available in the playing staff remains to be seen.
