And head coach Abdallah Mubiru is geared to tear through his opponents to kickstart a massive second round on a high.

Joint Uganda Cup record-holders KCCA FC have endured an indifferent campaign so far, struggling in both the Uganda Premier League and the CAF Confederation Cup.

In the league, they uncharacteristically sit ninth on the 16-team log, with 19 points after 15 games.

Their league difficulties met an early CAF Confederation Cup exit, having been eliminated by Libyan outfit Abu Salim in the Second Preliminary Round.

However, they now open the second half of the season with a Round of 64 Uganda Cup tie against Mbale side Admin FC on Wednesday.

And head coach Abdallah Mubiru is geared to tear through his opponents to kickstart a massive second round on a high.

"We want everyone ready and fit to help the team because we have a lot to deliver this second round," Mubiru told the club media ahead of their visit to Mbale Municipal Stadium.

Against Admin in an unforgiving environment, Mubiru anticipates a tough battle for his side.

"It's a very tricky fixture; Admin is very competitive, and the involvement of Mbale is challenging to us, but we are ready to face all the challenges."

"We've managed to have preparations up to this moment. The team is ready to deliver the best performance."

It should be noted that KCCA, along with Express FC have won the most Uganda Cup trophies, managing ten apiece.

The Kasasiro Boys will be eager to add to their cabinet but will have to do away with Admin, who have played three rounds to make this stage.

They edged Busia Young FC 1-0 in their most recent hurdle, thanks to a sole Baron Kironde goal.
