KCCA FC chairman Martin Ssekajja has confirmed that their Portuguese head coach Sergio Daniel Moniz Traguil will be in the country this weekend as preparations for the 2023/2024 season commence at the Lugogo-based club.

Ssekajja confirmed the development while appearing on NBS Sports on Friday morning.

"He (Sergio) jets in this weekend," Ssekajja said before delivering why the club decided to go foreign.

"Most Ugandan coaches still need courses that improve their management skills."

"Because as a football club, we need someone who is not only going to coach but also manage matters of the technical team."

"Mike (Mutebi) gave us that, we thought we would get the same from Morley (Byekwaso), but it didn't happen," Ssekajja added.

The club also confirmed their entire technical team on Thursday morning; Sergio comes with Luis Manuel Correira as his assistant.

Cuban Eduardo Lazaro Ramon Leiva joins the side as the Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Returning to the side is the former head coach of the junior team Jackson Magera is now the first-team coach.

Oloya Moses has been maintained as the Goal Keepers Coach, while Saka Mpiima has also been confirmed as the Junior Team Head Coach ahead of the 2023/24 Season.

Ayobo Felix has been maintained as the Club's Fitness Coach, with Ivan Ssewanyana maintained as the Club's Doctor, and Tusuubira Emmanuel is the Club's Physiotherapist.

Bashir Kawoya will serve as the Club's Kits Man, while Betty Nantale will serve as the Kits Assistant.

The developments bring to an end the reign of Jackson Mayanja (Interim Head Coach), Nsaziro Sam Charles Ssenyange (Interim Assistant Coach), and David Nassani Mutenza (Assistant Junior Team Coach).
