Since Jackson Mayanja’s suspension, KCCA have collected four points from two games and fluffed the opportunity to lead the table last Saturday.
KCCA FC assistant manager Charles Ssenyange says he is confident his side can score enough goals in their last two fixtures to win the Startimes Uganda Premier League title.
With two games left on the season, KCCA are in dire need of goals and wins to cross the finish line and lift the title ahead of defending champions Vipers and third-placed SC Villa.
“We can score 10 goals in the next two games,” Ssenyange said when asked about the team’s recent struggles in front of goal.
Ssenyange was speaking to the press after his side defeated BUL 1-0 in what was once again a far-from-convincing performance on Tuesday.
Allan Okello scored from the spot in the first half, but KCCA had to hang on for victory in the end, with chances few and far between.

SUPL Okello strike keeps KCCA chase alive
The forward scored from the penalty spot in the 35th minute, after he had been brought down inside the area.
Since drawing 2-2 with Onduparaka, the Kasasiro Boys have struglled in front of goal. They failed to score in the 1-0 loss to Vipers and the goalless draw with Express before Okello's penalty on Tuesday.
Striker Muhammad Shaban was starved of service all game, and KCCA struggled to get clear-cut chances.
“This game is over, and in the next one, it might not be the same problem of putting the ball in the net,” Ssenyange, taking charge in the absence of manager Jackson Mayanja, noted.

SUPL Five-star Vipers run riot against Express
Vipers SC continued their hunt for a Uganda Premier League defence, after a dominant 5-2 victory over Express at the St Mary's Stadium, Kitende on Tuesday.
“Goals might decide the champion; we, too, are focused on that.”
Ssenyange greeted the final whistle with celebrations as KCCA stayed on course in the title race.
Both Villa and Vipers won their games, and it was important that the Kasasiro Boys collect maximum points too.
“Already, you know what is happening now in our league because any blink, the cup is taken. That is why I was very happy for that outcome from the game.”
