KCB created a flurry of opportunities, even hitting the post three times, but could not finish them accurately against Posta Rangers.

KCB FC Assistant Coach Elvis ‘Valdo’ Ayany has expressed his frustration over the fact that his team is creating numerous chances but failing to capitalize on them, as league leaders Posta Rangers held them to a draw on Sunday afternoon.

The Bankers could have notched up five goals in the first half alone, striking the bar three times, with striker Francis Kahiro missing the opportunity to score a hat-trick in what was a very thrilling encounter.

Speaking after the match, Ayany acknowledged that his side was trying to overcome a tough mental barrier after suffering a heavy defeat to Sofapaka midweek, which may have slightly affected the team's morale.

“It was a tough match because we were just off losing our previous game 3-0,” Ayany said.

“The boys put a proper shift in today (Sunday). We had a lot of chances where we should have scored, but we are grateful for that one point.”

Ayany admits his side must work more on finishing considering they are creating a lot but failing to capitalise on them.

“We will have to work more on our attacking play because it is good that we are creating many chances but the final touch is missing. We are going to have to work a lot on it. If we work on it, we will get good results.”

KCB are fifth on 16 points after 10 matches played. They trail leaders Ragers by five points and must beat Bidco United next week if they are to stand a chance of catching up in the quest to challenge for the league title.

Ayany was stepping in for Bernard Mwalala, who was away due to CAF B class commitements.
