The already relegated Women's Premier League side has inked a deal with Jukwaa Inc which is expected to invigorate players on the field

Football Kenya Federation Women's Premier League (FKFWPL) strugglers Kayole Starlets have announced Jukwaa Inc as the club's new shirt sponsors.

The deal between the two parties was signed at the Calvary Grounds in Komarock, Nairobi on Friday as the club secured a shirt sponsor for the first time in its history.

"Today, we were privileged to host our new partners Jukwaa Inc. We also unveiled our home and away kit. Asante sana," the club posted on its website.

The club's chairman, Joshua Sakwa, believes Starlets and Jukwaa Inc will work together to benefit the players.

"The sponsor started supporting us in the second half of the season. Today (Friday) was about officially announcing the deal," Sakwa said.

Jukwaa Inc CEO Theo Mwangi has also welcomed the partnership, which he believes will improve Starlets.

"We are thrilled to kick off our partnership with Kayole Starlets today to allow the club to maximise its potential.

By leveraging the technology, we will allow the club to connect more with the community, fans, and sponsors. We look forward to helping all the players commercialise their skill and play at the most prominent football stages."

Kayole Starlets will don their new jersey on Sunday when they welcome Zetech Sparks at Camp Toyoyo Grounds.

The team will play in the Division One league next season because they are mathematically out of the Kenya Women's Premier League.

Kayole Starlets have minus three points and are seated at the bottom of the 12-team table.

Trans Nzoia Falcons, Zetech Sparks, and Kengemi Ladies are also candidates for relegation unless performances improve.
