The Slum Boys are still reeling from their FKF Cup thrashing by Kakamega Homeboyz and will be out to bounce back to winning ways
Kariobangi Sharks will be out for some redemption when they host Posta Rangers in a Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKFPL) clash on Thursday.
Sharks are still smarting from their 6-1 demolition at the hands of Kakamega Homeboyz in the FKF Cup last weekend, a match that exposed their defensive frailties even further this season.

FKF PL: On form Shikalo heaps praise on Homeboyz' mental fortitude
Shikalo was on form, saving a penalty from Tyson Otieno when the side were 5-1 up.
William Muluya’s men have one of the worst defensive records in the division, having conceded 40 goals, with relegation-threatened FC Talanta, Mathare United, Wazito FC, and Vihiga Bullets the only ones to have let in more.
By contrast, Sharks have scored 43 goals, only bettered by leaders Gor Mahia who have notched 44, meaning they would be challenging for the title had it not been for their porous backline.

FKFPL Muluya admits Slum Derby win is a confidence booster ahead of FKF Cup quarters
Kariobangi Sharks had gone on a run of four consecutive league losses before beating Mathare United.
Muluya’s side last kept a clean sheet on February 19 when they drew 0-0 with AFC Leopards and it is hard to predict if they will keep it tight at the back against Rangers given even troubled Wazito, Vihiga, and Mathare United have managed to score past them.
Before the cup thrashing, Sharks had seen their four-match losing run end when they beat Mathare 2-1 and they will hope to return to that form against the Mailmen.
Victory for 11th-placed Sharks, who are on 36 points, will see them leapfrog Rangers into 10th place as both teams are separated by just two points.
Rangers will, however, be a tough nut to crack given they are on a good run of form, having won three and drawn one of their last five games, with their defeat over that period seeing them run title-chasing Nzoia Sugar close before losing 3-2.

The Mail Men forced Jonathan McKinstry’s men to a share of spoils at Nyayo Stadium much to the delight of the former Kariobangi Sharks player.
Sharks will, therefore, have to be wary as Rangers also do not have problems scoring goals going by their last 10 matches when they have only failed to find the target on two occasions.
