Shabana assistant Coach Kambona shares team's progress ahead of crucial match in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League.

Shabana FC assistant coach Oscar Kambona is brimming with confidence as he anticipates their forthcoming showdown with Kariobangi Sharks in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League.

The Glamour Boys, fresh from a challenging encounter against Kenya Police last weekend at the Raila Odinga Stadium in Kisumu, are eager to regain their winning momentum.

Kambona, who assumed his role at the start of the season, also serves as the team's fitness trainer, and his commitment to the squad's development is palpable.

"We are still new in the league, but as time passes, we are maturing with every match, and in the next game, we will be at the top of our game again," he told reporters.

Shabana has encountered a steep learning curve upon their return to the top flight after 17 years in the lower leagues.

However, they have defied expectations by maintaining a solid defensive record, a testament to their resilience and determination.

In their league opener, Shabana  came tantalizingly close to securing a point but conceded a late goal, resulting in a narrow 1-0 loss to Murang'a Seal.

Their second match of the season saw them take an early 1-0 lead against FC Talanta, but they had to settle for a 1-1 draw in the end.

These performances indicate a squad that is steadily finding its footing and adapting to the demands of top-tier football.

While head coach Sammy Okoth has been temporarily absent from the team, his sojourn to Tanzania has been nothing short of productive.

Okoth successfully obtained a CAF B coaching certificate in Tanga,Tanzania, underscoring Shabana commitment to coaching excellence and professional development.
