The club has meanwhile confirmed they will have a chance of having the player back in the season should need arise.

Ahead of the forthcoming season, KCCA FC have sent versatile winger Muhammad Ssenoga Kagawa to Wakiso Giants FC on loan.

The development comes at a time when Kagawa, along with midfielder Emmanuel Wasswa, were rumoured to have been axed by the club, despite having two-year contracts left.

The club has meanwhile confirmed they will have a chance of having the player back in the season should need arise.

"The loan deal has a clause that allows KCCA to revoke and have him return after the first round of the 2023/24 season," a statement from the club confirmed on their website.

The player temporarily leaves the MTN Omondi Stadium, Lugogo after just a season, where he was relatively quiet.

The player, who can also operate as a right wing-back and a midfielder, was limited to just 17 league appearances, scoring twice for KCCA.

Given his undoubted ability, Kagawa is expected to be a major hit at Wakiso Giants, under head coach John Luyinda 'Ayala'.

He has previously featured for both SC Villa and Tooro United, which was his last team before KCCA.
