Paulo Dybala reveals that Juventus still owes his unpaid salary.

Paulo Dybala has revealed that Juventus still owes him money in deferred wages from before he left for Roma.

The 29-year-old Argentine was at the Turin-based club for seven years before switching to Rome to sign for Roma. Juventus had some of their players defer their wages following a financial hit from the COVID-19 pandemic, of which Dybala was one.

Speaking to Guardia di Finanza, Dybala said he could not remember the last time he received a payment from Juventus and claimed they still owed him money.

"I don't remember when they paid me the last salary, but I know very well that Juventus still owes me money," Dybala said, per Marca.

In addition, Juventus are presently facing legal action for financial misrepresentation-related violations where it is believed that they paid players in secret who they falsely claimed had waved salaries, misrepresenting their financial stability.

This is a major financial crime because Juventus are a publicly listed company.

The Old Lady have already received sporting punishments for their 'capital gains' breaches in the plusvalenza case, in which they were deducted 15 points, but this case of wage deferral is a criminal case, and their board members at the time could face criminal punishments. However, they still have to pay the players they owe, and as Dybala explains, there is an ultimatum.

The player further explained that when they reached an agreement for wage deferral with Juventus, it was understood that the money owed to him would be paid in excess of his future salary as he would continue to be at the club.

However, leaving would mean that Juventus had to pay him immediately, and he revealed that he was owed around £3 million. Dybala left Juventus in the summer for Jose Mourinho's Roma, as he is yet to be paid by Juve. He further disclosed that Juventus had until April of this year to pay him what he is owed, or he would have to take legal action.

“When we made the agreement for the salary change, we knew that if I still had a contract, the back salaries would be paid as an increase to the later ones, if I left instead, they would have to pay me immediately.”

“I know that in April From 2023, Juventus has the last chance to pay those 3 million more or less otherwise my lawyer will make requests in writing although I hope I don't go that far I want my money back but without filing any lawsuit avoiding problems for me and Juventus."
