Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has taken a swipe at Chelsea saying the Stamford Bridge club's woes are "good to see."
Chelsea have endured a hugely disappointing season despite making 18 signings since co-owner Todd Boehly took over last summer.
These signings include the record-breaking purchase of midfielder Enzo Fernandez in January.
However, they have struggled to find any consistency or build momentum throughout the season with Graham Potter sacked after 7 months in the job.
Jurgen Klopp delighted by Chelsea's woeful season
Frank Lampard was brought in on an interim basis and he club sit 12th in the Premier League with five defeats from five matches under him.
"I feel a little bit for Chelsea to be honest because it's not going well," Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp told Sky Sports.
"I think they're a top, top team, but on the other side it's good to see that you cannot just bring top players together and think it works out.
"You have to build a team and that's what the guys there underestimated and gave their coaches a nearly impossible job to do.
"You cannot have two dressing rooms, you cannot train on two pitches, you have to create relationships, you have to create team spirit, and that journey is why I'm a little bit happy about it."
More on Liverpool
Liverpool have also endured a disappointing season and their participation in next year's Champions League is in jeopardy as they sit 7th in the PL, 7 points behind Manchester United.
