Junior Starlets had been intensifying preparations in Spain preparing for the U-17 Women's World Cup.

Junior Starlets have safely arrived at the Dominican Republic ahead of their U-17 Women's World Cup campaign.

Starlets had been in a training camp in Spain preparing for the task ahead with key friendlies against Valencia, Portugal and Inter City.

The U-17 team kickstarted their training camp with a commanding display, defeating Valencia CF Women 4-1 in a friendly match played on Wednesday, September 25, 2024, at the Ciudad Deportiva del València CF grounds.

They continued their preparation as they played to a 1-1 draw against Portugal in their friendly match held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at the Albir Grounds.

The Junior Starlets closed the camp in style as they secured an impressive 4-1 victory against CF Intercity Femenino in a friendly match held on Monday, September 30, 2024, at the Albir Grounds.

The team now shifts focus tot he Dominican Republic ahead of historic U-17 women's world cup campaign.

Starlets have been pooled in Group C with England, Mexico and North Korea.

Head coach Mildred Cheche will be hope on-fire Valerie Nekesa will keep on her hot-scoring streak into the world cup campaign.

The youngster has scored in two of Starlets' matches in Spain, against Valencia and Inter City while providing the crucial assist that earned the draw against Portugal.

The Junior Starlets will kick-off their campaign against England on October 18.
