The Kenya U17 women's national football team, Junior Starlets, has returned to a hero's welcome at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport following their historic debut at the FIFA U17 Women’s World Cup.

The young team was received to a celebratory reception with dance and goodies earlier this morning upon their arrival back into the country,

The team made history as the first-ever Kenyan squad to compete in any FIFA World Cup finals, achieving a significant milestone for the country in global football.

Despite an early exit from the tournament after the group stage, the Junior Starlets displayed resilience and made a remarkable impact in Group C, where they faced off against a formidable England, North Korea, and Mexico.

Although they opened their campaign with a 2-0 and another 3-0 loss to England and North Korea respectively, Starlets achieved a historic 2-1 victory over Mexico in their final group match.

Despite the group-stage exit, the Junior Starlets left the tournament with heads held high, having proven their potential on the world stage.
