Zimbabwe national team head coach Michael Nees has unveiled a robust 23-man squad for the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya.

Ayunga featured for 45 minutes but could not help St. Mirren overcome Celtic in a heavy defeat inflicted on Stephen Robinson's men on Sunday, while Joseph Okumu helped Reims labour to draw against Mason Greenwood's Marseille.
Central to the lineup is the Stade de Reims midfielder Marshall Munetsi who also serves as the captain of Zimbabwe.
Notably, he shares his club affiliation with Joseph Okumu of the Harambee Stars adding an intriguing layer of club teammate rivalry to the international stage.
Further strengthening the squad are Tawanda Chirewa from Wolverhampton Wanderers and Tinotenda Kadewere of FC Nantes.
However, the squad will not include veteran striker Khama Billiat who despite a strong season at Yadah with nine league goals remains excluded following his retirement from international football in 2021.
