His latest of victories witnessed Sunrise come from behind to stun title challengers and runners-up Police FC 2-1 on Sunday.

Having turned around the fortunes of Rwanda Premier League outfit Sunrise FC, Ugandan tactician Jackson 'Mia Mia' Mayanja has earned himself the 'Professor' moniker.

At the time of appointment two months back, Sunrise's hopes for survival were as dim as a moonless light.

The club was at near-decay as they languished rock-bottom with six points in eight games.

With Mayanja in charge, Sunrise has turned the corner and currently sit ninth on the 16-team log with 20 points in 16 matches.

Under his eye, they have managed four victories, two draws and suffered defeats as many times.

His latest of victories witnessed Sunrise come from behind to stun title challengers and runners-up Police FC 2-1 on Sunday.

Following the win, Sunrise fans were locked in "The Professor" chants of praise for the former KCCA FC head coach.

The other three had Mayanja and Sunrise beat Amagaju (2-1), Gorilla (2-0) and AS Kigali (1-0).

Sunrise has not tasted defeat in the last four games, winning three and managing a stalemate in the other.

It should be noted that before joining Sunrise, Mayanja had guided KCCA to second in the Uganda Premier League, with Vipers SC clinching the title on goal difference.

Mayanja was then named to the KCCA FC governing board to oversee a complete renaissance of the club's fortunes.
