Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi was left disappointed following his team's draw against Everton, despite scoring.
Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi expressed disappointment despite scoring his second goal of the Premier League campaign in the clash against Everton.
The 28-year-old has been integral to Fulham’s fortunes this season and yesterday, when they travelled to Merseyside, he came close to handing the Cottagers maximum points with his 61st-minute strike, but for a late Beto goal, which condemned them to a mere point.

What Iwobi said
Despite scoring, the midfielder expressed sadness over their failure to get the result over the line. He highlighted that it has been a theme of their season, as they also let it slip against West Ham.
“It’s always nice to get a goal, but the main thing, whether I score or not, is to get the three points,” Iwobi told reporters.
“It’s a bit of a bittersweet moment, but we have to learn from our mistakes. It happened before against West Ham. We’re kind of disappointed, but we’ll look at the positives to go into the Brentford game.
“It’s almost like a loss; everyone’s not too happy, but the manager says we should be proud of the performance and try not to stay down, so we’ll look at the positives and go again.”
