Vipers SC will meet FUFA Big League side Police FC in the final of the Stanbic Uganda Cup final in Saturday.
To make their third successive final, the Venoms eliminated Soltilo Bright Stars FC, courtesy of a 4-1 aggregate victory in the semi-finals.
Following a 4-0 mauling at Kitende about ten days back in the first leg, it was a mountain to climb for Bright Stars, whose 1-0 win the second leg could not steer them through.
However, despite a comfortable sail for Vipers, head coach Alex Isabirye is set for tougher opposition in the final.
"We go to Lira happy that we have qualified but we don't expect the final to be easy for us," said Isabirye after the 1-0 defeat at Kavumba on Tuesday.
"We play a team that eliminated the defending champions (BUL), so they're really motivated."
Despite Police being a second-tier team, Isabirye insists his charges won't underestimate them.
"There's no poor team that can beat a defending champion and they also want to win."
"However, we will do whatever it takes to come back with the trophy," Isabirye added rather confidently.
The Akii-Bua Memorial Stadium final will give Vipers a shot at their first ever domestic double, having already clinched the Uganda Premier League.
