The NFF led by Ibrahim Musa Gusau have promised new boards within one month for the various Nigerian leagues including, the NNL, the NWFL, and the NLO.
Contrary to its earlier announcement that it would set up new boards for the various Nigerian leagues, the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has confirmed that the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) would be exempted.
Unlike the other leagues, the NFF after assuming office in October 2022, set up an interim committee to run the men's top-division league.

NFF promises new boards for NPFL, NNL, NWFL, NLO within one month
Since the incumbent NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau took office in September last year, new boards in the various Nigerian leagues are yet to have been established.
Why are the NFF setting up new boards?
According to the Ibrahim Musa Gusau-led administration, the tenure of the boards of the various leagues had expired with the term of the former NFF President Amaju Pinnick in 2022.
However, members of the boards of the Nigeria National League (NNL), the Nigeria Women’s Football League (NWFL) and the other league governing bodies were left in place to continue overseeing their competitions.
Now, the NFF has stated that the necessary changes are due and would be effected within the next month.
NPFL's interim board to remain in place
For the NPFL, the NFF have revealed that the board: the Interim Management Committee (IMC), which it set up to temporarily oversee the running of the top division, will be the only ones that'd witness no changes anytime soon.
The NFF had inaugurated the IMC on October 21, 2022, giving it a three-month initial mandate, but extended it upon expiration. With this, members of the interim board will remain in office until the end of the season.

“The IMC will remain in office to complete their tenure as extended by the NFF a couple of months ago. Afterwards, the NFF Executive Committee will meet to decide on the best way forward," Gusau added.
