The Interim Management Committee, IMC has lifted the ban placed on former Shooting Stars media officer Tosin Omojola to return to the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) and football-related activities.

Why was Omojola banned?
Omojola was banned because of a statement he made after the fans of the Shooting Stars attacked a sports journalist, Tobi Adepoju, during the southwest derby in Ibadan last season.
Shooting Stars and Remo Stars played to a 1-1 draw in Ibadan before the incident.
Omojola said there would be no repercussions for the journalist's attack, and Shooting Stars condemned the comment.
IMC Lifts the ban
The organizers of the NPFL have confirmed that Omojola can return to league-related activities.
In a letter sent to Omojola obtained by Pulse Sports, IMC said that his apology has been accepted.
According to the letter, "Be informed that the sanction issued against Mr. Tosin Omojola has been lifted, following his recent apology and appeal for leniency.
"Recall that on 3 June 2022, Mr. Omojola (Media Officer) was banned from all NPFL-related activities for a period of 12 months, for breaching the Code of Conduct for team officials through unguarded media comments capale of bringing the game to disrepute.
"However, following his passionate apology, appeal for leniency, and promise of better conduct in the future, the ban is hereby lifted effective immediately, on the condition that Mr. Omoloja will uphold the strictest standard of professionalism going forward.
"Note that any future breach of the NFL Framework and Rules will result in more severe sanctions. The above is for your information and immediate compliance."
Shooting stars ended the first stanza of NPFL abridged league with 10 points from nine games.
