Home matches involving the three clubs based in the South East would be kicking off by 3 pm.
The organiser of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), the Interim Management Committee (IMC) has revealed that the home games of South East clubs will start by 3 pm instead of the 4 pm kickoff time from other centres.
Enyimba, Abia Warriors, and Rangers international are the NPFL clubs that will kick off their games by 3 pm.
In a memo signed by IMC Head of Operations, Davidson Owumi informed the clubs of the adjustments of the fixtures and time.
"Please be informed that effective from the Matchday one fixtures scheduled to be held on 14th and 15th January 2023, all weekend fixtures taking place in the Southeastern part of the country will now kick off at 3:00 pm on Sundays.
"Consequently, the home matches of Abia Warriors FC, Enyimba Int’l FC, and Rangers' Int’l FC will take place as scheduled above. All clubs, officials, and related stakeholders are hereby put on notice", the circular stated.
IMC Lifts ban on shooting stars
IMC also announced the lifting of the ban placed on Shooting Stars to play without fans in attendance at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Ibadan.
Recall that Shooting stars fans were banned from attending matches last season following repeated violent incidents and attacks on Journalists after their game against their South West rivals, Remo stars last season.
Shooting Stars are drawn in Group A of the abridged season and will travel to Jos for a date with Plateau United on matchday one.
