The Kenya Police FC defender is keen to keep silencing his detractors as he remains bullish of another top campaign in 2023-24
Kenya Police FC defender David 'Cheche' Ochieng has fired back at his critics as he remains bullish of another impressive campaign with the Law Enforcers in the 2023-2024 season.
Cheche joined Police in March this year, three weeks after signing for Mathare United, and was among the influential figures for the Law Enforcers, who finished third with the second joint-best defence in the Football Kenya Federation Premier League after letting in 22 goals, same to champions Gor Mahia.

Baraza is not in good term with the Police FC management despite season of laudable progress.
While the season ended just two weeks ago and most players are enjoying a well-earned break, Cheche is, however, not resting on his laurels.
“Season 2023/24 has officially began, all the insults, banters, tackles, hatred, love, passion, sweat, disrespect and the famous one "wewe ulisha isha" (you’re finished). I'm Ready,” said Cheche via a Twitter post.

FKFPL: Big spending Police now plot final assault at FKFPL title after upstaging Gor Mahia in transfer market
The Law Enforcers finished third last season, their highest-ever placing and a significant improvement from the ninth position the campaign before.
The experienced centre-back has previously turned out for Tusker FC and AFC Leopards as well as Saudi Arabian sides Al-Taawon and Al-Ansar in between a stint with US outfit New York Cosmos.
Cheche’s good performances have seen him become one of Harambee Stars coach Engin Firat’s main men and was among the bright spots during their less-than-impressive outing at the Four Nations Tournament in Mauritius last month.
Police mean business ahead of next season when anything less of a title win will be deemed an underachievement going by their huge outlay in the transfer market with former Gor Mahia midfielder Kenneth Muguna and Tyson Otieno from Kariobangi Sharks being roped in last week.
Francis Baraza’s men will be looking to build onto their good defence again next season as they search for consistency to deliver the highly-coveted title.
