Nick Mwendwa has hinted at a possible legal battle having seen his camp ousted by new FKF boss Hussein Mohammed.
Former Football Kenya Federation president Nick Mwendwa has called on world football governing body FIFA to intervene and investigate the electoral process amid claims of irregularities.
Mwendwa, who was vying as Doris Petra running mate, lost to Hussein Mohammed in the race to the Kandanda House seat and despite the results, he reiterated that he would not back down in his fight for the future of Kenyan football.

'This is a farce' - Nick Mwendwa claims FKF elections were rigged
Mwendwa's tenure was cut short after he was defeated by Hussein Mohammed in the recent FKF polls that he claims were not fair.
"FIFA cannot sit back and allow this to continue. They need to come and look at what has happened here. Football in Kenya deserves better, and the people deserve better," Mwendwa told SportsBoom.
"I’m not going anywhere. 'I’ve always said that I will do everything in my power to make sure that football in Kenya thrives. This election, this process, was not about football—it was about power. But it’s not over yet," he added.

Kakamega Homeboyz chairman Cleophas Shimanyula vows to change four key things if elected FKF President
Shimanyula is one of seven candidates who have thrown his hat in the ring for the position of FKF President.
Mwendwa served two terms as the federation's honcho and perhaps his ouster from office might suggest a new dawn in Kenyan football.
Mwendwa alleged that the contesters knew the outcome of the election even before voting was conducted. "I’ve been in this game long enough to know when something is wrong," Mwendwa said. "You cannot have an election where everyone knows the results before the voting even happens. This was never a fair contest. This was about controlling the outcome, not giving the football community a real choice," he insisted.
Mwendwa’s administration was abruptly cut short after the government took over FKF operations in 2021. Since then, Mwendwa has faced several legal battles, but his passion for Kenyan football remained undiminished.
He returned to office after charges were against him were dropped but he has faced criticsm over his management style even as national teams Harambee Stars and Starlets have struggled for results in recent years.
