Liverpool defender Ibrahima Konate was the subject of criticsm from France fans when he arrived for international duty while dressed in outlandish fashion.
The Reds are confident on securing the new deal with Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano reporting that the talks are progressing well.
"Liverpool are confident to complete agreement on new deal with Ibrahima Konaté soon as talks are now progressing well," reported Romano.
"He's expected to sign new contract after Quansah, as crucial part of club's project and really appreciated by Arne Slot."
Konate's current deal runs until the summer of 2026 having joined the Reds in 2021 from RB Leipzig.
The French man has since made 99 appearances for the club, winning the FA cup, EFL cup and Community shield.
