Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has revealed the legends he would have loved to play with during his time in the Premier League.
Arsenal legend Thierry Henry has revealed the two players he wishes he had the opportunity to play alongside during his playing career.
Henry, who had the privilege of playing with Lionel Messi, among other greats, has named former Chelsea strikers Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka as his dream teammates.
Speaking on Sky Sports, Henry expressed his admiration for the two strikers, saying:
"You have two players who I would have loved to play with in the Premier League. Drogba and Anelka."
Henry recalled a recent conversation with two-time CAF Player of the year Drogba, where they fantasized about playing together:
"I saw him [Drogba] the other day and we were actually talking about it. We sat down at the airport and I was like "can you believe it if we played together?"
Henry believes that their playing styles would have complemented each other perfectly:
"He didn’t like to go too much out of that area and I was more of a mover, a bit everywhere. It would’ve been a bit of a problem [for defenders]."
Henry joined Arsenal in 1999, with Anelka leaving the club in the same window.
However, both forwards shared the pitch for the French national team on 28 occasions.
