Manchester United winger Antony admitted he had a difficult season in a detailed, heartfelt message he sent to Red Devil fans via Instagram.
The Brazil international joined the Manchester-based club at the start of the 2022/23 season for a whopping €95 million and came highly recommended by Erik ten Hag.

Jadon Sancho admits he is 'still not over England heartbreak' ahead of UCL final against Real Madrid
Sancho has rediscovered his best form since returning to Borussia Dortmund on loan from Manchester United in January.
However, the 23-year-old struggled to live up to the billing in his debut season, and regressed further this campaign, managing only one goal and one assist in the Premier League this recently-concluded season.
What Antony said
Following the end of the 2023/24 campaign, which ended on a winning note for the Red Devils with the FA Cup triumph over Manchester City, Antony took to Instagram to send a message to fans of Manchester United.
"2023/24 was a very difficult season, for many reasons. But I suffered quietly! I took this period to reflect and seek self-knowledge,” he said on Instagram.
“Today, at the end of another season, I can say that after everything I've been through, I feel much stronger and ready for the challenges. Football gave me everything I have; thanks to it, I was able to help my family, change my life and open up a range of opportunities.
“After time, the experience will give me the tools to achieve my biggest goals, which are success and to build my story in a world as challenging as the one we live in! I thank God, my family, our fans, my work colleagues and the entire Manchester United staff!! 🙏🏼@manchesterunited."
Antony’s poor form this season meant he failed to make Dorival Júnior’s Selcao team for this year’s Copa America.
