Former Super Eagles manager Finidi George has been replaced by his former club ahead of the new season.
Olanrewaju was named as interim manager following the now infamous departure of NPFL winner and Nigerian legend Finidi George to take over as Super Eagles boss towards the end of last season.
With the Elephants deep in the title race with eventual winners Enugu Rangers, the talented tactician failed to help the club defend their crown but managed to get the Aba side a ticket to the CAFCC.

Now, Nigeria’s most successful club has rewarded the 32-year-old for what he showed during his time as interim coach with the role of the new permanent manager.
“Yemi Daniel Olanrewaju has been promoted to head coach of Enyimba FC, signing a one-year contract,” the club stated in a statement on their official website.

Now, Yema has broken his silence after taking to social media to express his feelings after taking over Nigeria’s most successful club.
“I love it here and will give everything here,” Yema posted on his official X.com, former Twitter, account.

Yema’s time at Enyimba
The former Vandrezzer and MFM FC coach joined the People’s Elephant two years ago following the appointment of Finidi as coach.
He went on to play a key role as the Elephants rode to a historic ninth title in the 2022/23 season to become Nigeria’s most successful club.

Coach Yema is highly regarded for his tactics and ability to motivate players. And with the new season approaching, the new manager is fully focused on reinviograting his squad with new talents following the departure of some key players.
