The first shot was taken by the Spaniard, who stressed that he had double of Mourinho's Premier League titles. After the defeat to Liverpool at Anfield, Guardiola raised six fingers in the air, taunting the Kop with his number of English league titles.

The move was reminiscent of Jose’s to Chelsea fans; hence, Pep was reminded that the Portuguese was fired as Manchester United manager months after making the gesture. Guardiola's reply? “I have won six and he won three.”
Mourinho responded, alluding that his victories were fair and square, while the 53-year-old’s are marred with 115 charges-related controversies. The former Barcelona man, in his responses, told Mourinho his club were innocent until proven guilty, before maintaining that he had won more than his counterpart.

What Mourinho said
It was Mourinho's turn in the exchange during his latest press conference ahead of their Europa League clash against Athletic Club and the ex-Chelsea man took the high road.
He expressed his love for Guardiola before explaining that his earlier comments were borne out of a desire for justice, as he has seen smaller clubs punished for minute FFP infractions.
"Pep and I worked together for three years, we know we love each other,” Mourinho said. “It is not true that I want them to be relegated, what is true is that I want justice.
“Small teams can sometimes be penalised by FFP when they exceed their limits by five-to-ten euros. I also suffered due to the limits when I was at Roma.
“I don’t think this is fair. We love each other, he knows it. Words are one thing, feelings are another. All I want is justice, but we have no ill feelings towards each other."
