Rooney on Man United players
Man United have struggled with many injuries this season which has limited their performance but club legend Rooney claims the players are reserving their energy for the FA Cup final.
Marcus Rashford and Bruno Fernandes are the newest additions to a lengthy list of injured players, some of whom have been sidelined repeatedly.
According to reports from the Sun, Rooney said, “If they are, I don’t think they’re showing it very well. Some of those players can play, 100 per cent.
“You’ve got a European Championships and an FA Cup final coming. Because they’re getting stuck, it’s easy for players to come back and get themselves ready for the final and Euros. I’ve seen it myself.
“When your manager is talking about players’ attitude not being right to play, that’s a massive insult.”
Rashford and Fernandes were not available against Arsenal despite reports claiming they were available for the game.
Nevertheless, the two remained in training this week even though they were left off of the Sunday match roster.
The FA Cup final against Manchester City is quickly approaching for Man United who are still having many of their first team players injured.
